Module 21 Blog 2

In the video, Vygotsky talked about how computer programs can help to train employees to do certain things relating to their tasks at hand. These can help students get through their ZPD by allowing them to relate the new knowledge to prior knowledge which they had before. It allows students to realize the "full potential of development", which is the task the computer is telling them to learn. The computer puts the information out in such a way that it is mastered and can be retaught properly and accurately thus proving maximum efficiency. Within a classroom students can use computers to learn how to do math accurately. I recall using games such as Math Blaster to teach me how to multiply certain numbers. Math Blaster went through an example of a multiplication problem and taught me how to do it efficiently and correctly, then prompted me to use my knowledge and figure out the answer to another problem similar to the one they had just created.
