Brain Research Post 2 - Module 6
Wujec says that we can engage the ventral, dorsal and limbic systems with vision the better engage students brains. This can be done by using clear images, interactive images, and images that are persistent. This will allow people to make meaning by visual interrogation.
It is important to engage students using other mediums, not just vision. This can be done by engaging the auditory and tactile senses. An example would be having students make models out of clay for a particular project. This could also be done by having students listen to different sounds to make meaning by auditory interrogation. It would be important for these sounds and hands-on activities to be interactive, clear and persistent as well.
